I'm an interior design student at Milwaukee Area Technical College eager to specialize in sustainable, human-centered commercial design. I’m driven by the belief that the built environment has a profound impact on both people and the planet, and I’m committed to creating spaces that support well-being while reducing environmental impact.
As I advance in my studies, I’m building a strong foundation in space planning, design development, and visual communication, with a growing focus on green building practices and material transparency. I’m especially passionate about designing commercial environments that balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility. I prioritize design that feels grounded, intentional, and genuinely supportive of the people who use them.
My approach blends curiosity, organization, and creative problem-solving. Whether I’m developing CAD drawings, crafting 3D SketchUp models, or creating a presentation, I aim to communicate ideas clearly and thoughtfully. I’m drawn to projects that challenge me to think critically about sustainability, durability, and long-term impact.
This portfolio reflects my evolving design perspective: rooted in sustainability, honest materials, and a desire to contribute to healthier, more resilient built environments. I’m excited to continue learning, collaborating, and working toward a future where commercial spaces are not only beautiful, but responsible and restorative.
I’ve always been drawn to the quiet, grounding beauty of the natural world. Organic forms, earthy palettes, and tactile materials shape the way I think about space. Whether it’s the curve of a shoreline, the texture of stone, or the warmth of sunlight through trees, nature continually influences my approach to design.
A big part of that connection comes from how I grew up. My parents built our family cabin entirely on their own, and I spent much of my life out on the island where it sits. Watching them design, problem‑solve, and create spaces with their own hands taught me to appreciate craftsmanship, materials, and the way a place can shape how you feel. Growing up in a family of artists, creativity was woven into everyday life: from renovations to handmade objects to the natural environment around us.
Today, those early experiences guide my design values. I’m inspired by interiors that support both human well‑being and environmental health. I’m drawn to natural materials, biophilic elements, and sustainable choices that create spaces that feel grounded, restorative, and responsible. My goal is to design environments that are healthy for people and healthy for the planet.

Creativity has always been a part of my life, and I love exploring new ways to work with my hands. Metalsmithing is one of my favorite mediums: from crafting jewelry to experimenting with silver, brass, and even stained glass. I enjoy the challenge of shaping raw materials into something unique and beautiful, and I’m always excited to try new techniques or push myself into unfamiliar territory.
Painting has been another long‑time passion, giving me a space to play with color, texture, and emotion in a more fluid way.
Outside the studio, you’ll almost always find me outdoors. I love hiking, especially with my pomsky, Liwanu, and discovering new trails to explore. Being immersed in nature with fresh air, quiet forests, and open skies is one of my favorite ways to reset and find inspiration. Those moments of stillness and connection continue to influence how I think about design, materials, and the feeling of a space.
